We know that the whole business of foundation work can feel a lot different from the outside looking in than it does to us working on the inside. That bothers us. We want you to know that we truly want to thoughtfully invest our money by supporting worthy projects, and that we want to do whatever we can to demystify the process through which we do that.
Writing a grant proposal is not rocket science. In fact, it’s mostly common sense. In addition to our Grant Application Guidelines — which are designed to help you walk through the application process — we’ve collected a number of resources to help you as you think about and prepare your proposal. Much of the material is included in order to give you insight into how things work at MMT. We don’t want to be mysterious. We figure the more you know about us, the more likely we can help you do your good works.
We’ve organized materials into Frequently Asked Questions, Less Frequently Asked Questions where you are also invited to submit Questions that Haven’t Been Asked Yet, examples of Featured Grants we’ve made in the past, Policy Announcements, and Additional Resources you might find useful. In addition, you might want to read our blog to get the latest word on what’s happening at MMT.
