To invest in people, ideas and efforts that deliver significant social benefit to Oregon and Clark County, WA through inspiring, innovating, partnering and leading to improve the quality of life here.
In 2007, Meyer Memorial Trust published the findings of an evaluation of MMT by FSG Social Impact Advisors, which helped frame the strategic plan MMT adopted and has been implementing in years since. Now that the plan has been in place more than two years, we are reviewing our efforts and plan to provide an overview and update in late summer 2010.
MMT CEO Doug Stamm announced the evaluation results in April 2007 and has periodically reported on our progress in meeting the goals and objectives of the strategic plan:
- July 20, 2007 – What we know so far
- September 17, 2007 – MMT's next generation
- July 15, 2008 – Where we are in July 2008
In Fall of 2008, MMT shifted our focus somewhat in order to quickly respond to the economic crisis by openly communicating what had happened to our financial position and by adopting new strategic options to assist nonprofits affected by the recession:
- October 3, 2008 – MMT's response to a down economy
- February 17, 2009 – An update on MMT's response to economic conditions
- April 10, 2009 – What to expect from area foundations in 2009
- April 21, 2009 – Further guidance on grantmaking during hard times
- June 12, 2009 – Still looking to do more
- September 29, 2009 – The view from now
- October 27, 2009 – What do we know about recovery of giving after recessions & depressions?
- April 1, 2010 – Springing Ahead: Forecast for 2010
- March 23, 2011 – Going Back to the Future
- January 24, 2012 – MMT's Statement on Working Toward Equity in Oregon
By April 2012, MMT will post an update on our plans for our 2012-13 fiscal year here.
