Before renovation by Umpqua Community Development, Hotel North Bend had become a community eyesore. With a $500,000 program related investment loan from Meyer Memorial Trust, Umpqua Community Development renovated the historic hotel and created 33 units of affordable housing that have become a source of community pride. Hotel North Bend is helping to revitalize this Oregon coastal community after years of little commercial activity due to the decline of fishing and timber industries.
