Liberty Restoration used a $350,000 program related investment loan to reduce mortgage interest costs on the Liberty Theater, a 1925 vintage Italian Renaissance style building in downtown Astoria. The savings in interest payments has helped sustain the organization and has had a dramatic impact on economic development in the local area through increased tourist revenues and patronage of nearby restaurants and other local businesses.
