FOOD for Lane County has used five grants for nearly $725,000 from Meyer Memorial Trust to help address food insecurity among residents of Lane County. In addition to acquiring and distributing emergency food, the organization has community gardens in Eugene/Springfield where children learn how to grow organic produce that is distributed to low income households and sold at a youth-run farm stand.
