Enterprise Cascadia: K-Lyn Fisheries
Charleston fisherman John Warner, founder of K-Lyn Fisheries, discovered that marketing wild salmon and sustainably harvested Dungeness crab enhances their value in the seafood market. A loan from Enterprise Cascadia enabled him to purchase equiment to hold more product and make shipping and marketing arrangements for higher sales.
Enterprise Cascadia, also known as Shorebank Enterprise Group Pacific, has used $1.25 million of program related investment loans and $705,000 in grants from Meyer Memorial Trust to provide loans and technical assistance to support small businesses, promote economic development, and develop community facilities in rural communities throughout Oregon and southwest Washington.
