Children's Justice Alliance
Children’s
Justice Alliance used a $191,000 grant from Meyer Memorial Trust in
2008 for its Parenting Inside Out
program and to expand services that reunite and support children whose
parents are incarcerated. The organization now markets and sells its
evidence-based curriculum across the country, generating revenue that
supports Oregon
families and helps improve parenting skills of those involved in
criminal justice system in other states. According to CJA, one of the
best predictors of success in reintegrating inmates into the community
is a strong family support system. The PIO program was recently cited by
the United States Attorney General as an exemplary program in promoting
family reunification. Photo
