What I do at MMT:
Before coming to Meyer Memorial Trust, I received my education in the area of Ethnoarchaeology and spent some time in Samoa drawing artifacts and studying Samoan Culture aka "Fa'asamoa" (The Samoan Way). After returning to the US, I was employed with both The University of Oregon and Reed College where I had the privilege of working with a diverse array of students and staff. I gained the knowledge of both the financial and administrative daily operations of an educational institution which was very valuable. The constant change and activity I experienced working in the Oregon University System and the detail orientated work I did in Archaeology allows me to be able to use those skills and experiences in my position here at Meyer as the Applications & Data Coordinator. I have the privilege to use what I have learned and apply those skills when processing grant applications, preparing reports for our dedicated staff, and assisting potential grantees over the phone.
