May 2010 Wraps Up
What a busy month! And what a lot of rain!! If there is a dry place left in Oregon, please let us know so we can relocate our office. :)
How wet is it here in Portland? It's so wet a great blue heron has been stalking my backyard in hopes of a meal. I caught him in the act.
But, about the news...
First, we awarded quite a few grants, which we've announced here.
Program officers Sally Yee and Kim Thomas hosted Two-Way Street Tours in Harney and Malheur counties in southeastern Oregon, reporting on their stops in Burns, Ontario and Nyssa on our TWST blog.
A June TWST will visit Moro in Sherman County and The Dalles and Maupin in Wasco County.
We've added some new content to our website we thought you might like to check out:
- MMT's Mission Related Investment activities were the subject of a case study by students at Harvard University's Kennedy School Case Program.
- Additional background information has been added to staff profiles in answer to the question: "What was your life experience before you came to MMT and how does it contribute to your work at MMT?"

We'll be participating in the PDX Net2Camp on June 25th and thought you might want to check it out.
That's enough for May, is it not? June will be a BIG month for us, so we have stop now.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful memorable long weekend, including some rainless moments. I'll be keeping a close eye on my backyard. The great blue heron has pulled back a bit, but if you look closely, he's still there, on my neighbor's roof. Waiting and watching. But so am I.
Cheers to you,
Marie

The heron's route
In the Hawthorne neighborhood of SE Portland. There's probably more than one, we are on this one's morning route for sure! Maybe he goes to Irvington next! I think it's the official city bird of Portland.
