Wrapping up August

We have a couple of important news announcements as August wraps up. First, we are putting out a call for proposals from grantees that need operating support and we will be hiring a new program officer soon.

Three weeks into August and some of my tomatoes have taken on a faint orangish tinge. I'm pretty sure that's good news. :)

But let's get right to the official MMT news, because we think you will want to know about these:

• We are inviting applications to our just-announced and -opened 2010 Operating Funds grants program.
• We will be hiring a new program officer soon. The position annoucement will be live and applications will open on August 25th. The application link will be active first thing August 25th. (If you click on the link now, you will get an error message, so please check back on August 25th.)
• One of our staff members reveals what happened this week when she got slapped upside the head.

Our ideas4oregon update has been delayed a bit, but will be coming early next month and we hope you will find it worth the wait.
