May 2011 Awards Announced
Meyer Memorial Trust has announced 32 awards for $3,884,000 made since the end of the fiscal year, March 31, 2011. These awards included an $800,000 program-related investment for a new facility for the Clark County Food Bank and 12 grants made under the Willamette River Initiative.
The awards bring the total since MMT began operating in 1982 to 6,455 awards totaling $531,737,489.

Bend Area Habitat for Humanity, Bend
Awarded: $80,000
To acquire and rehabilitate four foreclosed homes in central Oregon for affordable homes for very low income families
Benton Habitat for Humanity, Corvallis
Awarded: $40,000
To build two affordable homes in Philomath for very low income families
Clark County Food Bank, Vancouver
Awarded: $200,000
PRI: $800,000
To help construct a new facility to house an expanded food bank for Clark County, WA
Coos County Historical Society, North Bend
Awarded: $300,000
For a new waterfront Coos Historical & Maritime Center to support school and cultural programming and community revitalization
Curry County Habitat for Humanity, Brookings
Awarded: $23,000
To complete pre-development of three lots and to complete construction of an affordable home for a very low income family
Eugene Hearing and Speech Center, Eugene
Awarded: $50,000
To provide services to 700 uninsured Oregonians while the organization establishes its new fundraising program
Friends of Creston Childrens Dental Clinic, Portland
Awarded: $105,000
To increase services to children from low income families while the clinic expands its volunteer and fundraising programs
Gates Fire District Emergency Services Support, Gates
Awarded: $75,000
To construct a public convening space for this small rural community
