Habitat for Humanity
As part of our investment in affordable housing, MMT has supported Habitat for Humanity's efforts to make home ownership affordable for very low income families. For this fiscal year, $730,000 in awards went to eight Habitat affiliates:
Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley, Salem
Awarded: $150,000
To acquire land for future affordable homes
Habitat for Humanity, Rogue Valley, Medford

To support the first phase of development of a subdivision of 10 affordable homes
Junction City/Harrisburg/Monroe Habitat for Humanity, Junction City

To
purchase and renovate foreclosure properties for Habitat families, in
conjunction with federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program Funds
Lebanon Area Habitat for Humanity, Lebanon

To
match funding from HUD's Neighborhood Stabilization Program to purchase
and renovate 4 foreclosed homes to provide affordable homes for
Habitat-qualified families
