At the March program meeting, Meyer Memorial Trust awarded 23 grants for nearly $2.2 milion to nonprofit organizations working across Oregon. Because MMT's fiscal year ends March 31, we can now report that in our 2011-12 fiscal year, we made 349 awards for more than $31 million.

At the February program meeting, Meyer Memorial Trust's board of trustees made more than $3.2 million in grants and a program-related investment loan to 43 tax-exempt organizations in Oregon and Clark County, Washington.
December 2011 Awards Announced

At the December program meeting, Meyer Memorial Trust made 27 grants for more than $4.1 million to a variety of Oregon tax exempt organizations, from statewide advocacy groups to the one-school district in the small community of Arock in far southeastern Oregon. These grants bring the total awarded since MMT began operating in 1982 to 6,687 awards totaling more than $554 million.
November 2011 Awards Announced

This month Meyer Memorial Trust awarded more than $7 million to 21 nonprofit organizations across Oregon. Most of the awards were grants totaling $3.925 million, while two were program-related investment loans amounting to $3.094 million.
October 2011 Grants Announced
At the October 2011 program meeting, Meyer Memorial Trust's trustees
awarded nearly $3.25 million in grants to 64 nonprofit organizations
across Oregon. These awards bring the total since MMT began operating in
1982 to 6,637 for more than $543 million.
September 2011 Grants Announced

At our September program meeeting, MMT trustees awarded 19 grants for more than $3.1 million dollars to nonprofit organizations across Oregon.Eight of the awards worth nearly $1.8 million went to arts and culture organizations in Portland (7) and Eugene (1). We have been grouping consideration of support to Portland area large budget arts organizations since 2009 to help them achieve financial stability (read more about this practice here).

Meyer Memorial Trust has announced 32 awards for $3,884,000 made since
the end of the fiscal year, March 31, 2011. These awards included an
$800,000 program-related investment for a new facility for the Clark
County Food Bank and 12 grants made under the Willamette River
Initiative.

Sometimes world events conspire to induce a heavy heart when our news is
ready to announce. If there ever was such a time, it is now. Emotions
from the anguish and sorrow in Japan and the Middle East and North
Africa are hard to set aside, but that is the context in which we make

we recently noted MMT has supassed the $500 million mark in awards to

At the February program meeting, MMT trustees awarded 41 grants for
more than $2.1 million to nonprofit organizations in Oregon and Clark
County, Washington. Twenty-four of the grants were made under the
Grassroots Grants program, designed to support smaller organizations
with awards of up to $25,000.
February's awards bring the total since MMT began operating in 1982 to 6,065 awards for more than $495 million.
