Special Instructions for Core Support/General Operating Support applicants

When applying to MMT’s Responsive Grant Program for Core Support, please address the following in the relevant sections of the Initial Inquiry form:

Project description:

Has the organization established priority organizational goals for the coming year? What are the goals? How were they established? How will success be measured?
How would the requested funds strengthen or increase the capacity of the organization to do its core work?
Why is the organization requesting core support funding now?
Would the requested funds enable the organization to leverage additional funds or pursue a unique or time-sensitive opportunity?
What has been the impact on the economic downturn on the organization? How has the organization responded?

Budget Summary: Provide information about the entire organizational budget for the proposed grant period (in lieu of total project cost). Identify amounts and sources of funds already secured toward that budget, those reasonably anticipated, and plans for securing remaining funds needed. If you anticipate significant changes in funding sources from the organization’s current budget, please explain. It is not necessary to detail how MMT funds would be applied to specific expenses.

Sustainability: Describe how the organization plans to cover operating costs in the future.
