A Field Trip to a Better Home

Posted Jan 26 2012 - 1:36pm by Karissa Lowe
Topics: Responsive Grants | Staff

Tales from the double-wide: reflections of a new program officer

Posted Dec 16 2011 - 9:40am by Jill Fuglister
Topics: Program Officers
With almost a year under my belt as a program officer, I thought it was about time to share a few thoughts on my experience thus far. Sitting on the other side of the fundraising table for so many years, foundations had always seemed a little mysterious and slightly scary to approach. Now that I work for one, I figure it's my responsibility to help folks peek behind the curtain and understand them a bit better.

Dear friends and colleagues, After seven amazing years, I'll be leaving the Meyer Memorial Trust at the end of this year. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to work with each of you, whether on individual grant requests, the Oregon Small Schools Initiative, Affordable Housing Initiative, Our Oceans campaign or the Idea4Oregon's Leadership Development in Communities of Color.

Posted Sep 28 2011 - 11:51am by Phoebe OLeary
Topics: Responsive Grants | Grassroots Grants | Grantmaking
We are often asked how many applications we receive, how many are approved, and what the awards were for.  So, to supplement Marie's monthly award announcements, I thought I'd provide some statistics on grants made through our Responsive Grants and Grassroots Grants programs in MMT's most recent fiscal year (April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011).
